Never underestimate the power of a conversation

My plumber lied, took some money from my grandfather and dint return. It was painful n troublesome since we had a lot of water problems.Somehow my grandfather managed to trace him and brought him to fix the problem. My grandfather dint scold him rather asked if he wanted some money for alcohol. He was not drunk for a change and confessed that he was guilty of what he did.i overheard the conversation and thought of talking to him.

I softly asked him why was it important for him to drink alcohol. He smiled and said 'I dint have it since past two days, Didi' :) I was quiet just allowing him to talk.He further added 'You dont know how miserable is my life. My daughter died cos of neurological disorder last year.I have to take care of my wife, my two sons and their education. I had no work, so I took to gambling, Didi'

I explained him 'Everytime there is a difficulty in life you have to make a choice.Either go AND drink alcohol and gamble-that will ease you but will be momentary, that wont b permanent' But If you choose to have faith in God, believe in yourself and decide to move on without getting addicted to vices -it will be difficult initially but eventually you will be happy and strong'

He waved me 'Bye' promising not to have alcohol for one week and share how it was to make a healthier choice in life :)

this was not definetly not a planned conversation.neither did he plan nor I.But it was definetly powerful!

This made me believe random conversations are more powerful than planned conversations!cos it s all about connections :) This conversation left me thinking that each moment you have a choice to make your life or break your life. Its in YOUR HANDS!
