Day out with kids! Yay!

I decided to spend an entire day with kids exploring suburbs of ahmedabad.

We started from LD engineering college took a bus till Tridev temple. 

Tridev Mandir is a non secretarian temple intended to remove differences and prejudices amongst different sects and encourage oneness and bring religion back to the seat of the soul.

We spent peaceful time here, praying , mediating and observing the architecture and grandeur of the temple. 

They organized a show for kids . It had stories based on moral values.

We shared delicious lunch in front yard of the temple.

We headed towards sculpting workshop.

On our way we had soda and lemon juice :)

We saw a double decker bus! 

We learnt some real sculpting, HANDS-ON!!!

With lessons in spirituality, architecture and sculpting and lot of love and joy in our hearts, we returned home.

Being Angel for Birds and Animals!

Moral sensitivity is one virtue our  kids are blessed with. Today before our  class, Raveena ,a very introvert and a sensitive kid, with tears in her eyes, pointed her finger towards the sky. Pravin and Govind immediately responded 'We can  save this tangled bird, its suffering hanging half-dead in the air, its yet alive, its moving, we can save it' .We went to the terrace, Pravin gently lifted the thread, pulled it towards him with a stick and held the bird with love in his hand. He removed the string and tried to comfort the bird. Govind informed me about the shelter for injured animals. We went there and put the bird under the vet care.

After coming back, we had circle of sharing on moral sensitivity and it was inspiring to listen to stories on how they saved birds and animals in their community.

How our dear friends helped kids to stay warmer in Winter!

Ernst & Young ran a cloth collection Drive and donated bags loaded with clothes. Chandni and Spandan put their heart and soul to motivate people to donate generously. Vishalbhai from Vedhshala collected warm clothes for kids to ensure our kids had warm winters and cosy sleep. We are grateful to them for their love, concern and efforts :)))))
