Today, we had class on environmental sciences :)
We got pots from nursery, green cloth to protect our plants from excess heat,and got soil from road side ;)
Everything was so much fun! All the kids had studied photosynthesis in text books and had their teachers telling them about tree plantation hundreds of time!! But hands on seed plantation was a different experience for them :)
During the circle of sharing we shared importance of nature and basics of photosynthesis.One of the kids was really enthusiatic and shared that her father was a farmer and did farming and farming interested her. We had to expain her the difference between farming and container gardening!
Each kid was given couple of seeds and their individual pots! The kids with all enthusiasm sowed the seeds, watered the same and was asked to think of a name for their pot :)
We then had a small dance session led by Siddhi!
M looking forward to the wonderful questions they will come up with regarding planting seeds and the growing plants haha :)
