Shwas, Municipal School 7 & 8
It is always a blessing to have new members joining in the family :) The kids get a chance to interact with people who have accomplished much in their lives and learn from them to work hard, live a life of dignity and achieve their dreams. Also, for the new volunteers it is an opportunity to learn the Law of love and forget themselves in selfless service of others as Gandhi said: 'The law of love could bebest understood and learned through little children'
It was pooja didi's Birthday, trustee of one of the schools of Ahmedabad. She and her daughter joined us for prayer, meditation, interacted with kids, shared her journey, served the kids yummy cake and snacks with love, played Antakshari and gifted them Ludo board games and jigsaw puzzle.
It was Nisha Didis Birthday as well. She has been volunteering with the project since past tewo years regularly.Being a dentist, she thought gifting students a dental kit whch incuded tooth paste, tooth brush and tongue cleaner, would be a perfect gift for our kids. Hygiene is a big challenge in this community due to lack of awareness.Though, kids at project are now trained enough and keep themselves clean after three years of dedicated and persistent efforts of volunteers :)
