A small effort to create an ecosystem where there is exchange of love, wisdom and selflessness between the corporates and municipal school kids :)

I Dedicate this blog to my entire DOsti Unstoppable Team and Yuva Family:
Journey wouldnt have been so beautiful without you guys :)

This was back in June-July 2010, when i was working full time with Yuva Unstoppable :)

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, 10 July 2010 (Event courtsey kay cee and Vishal):
Shahibaug 6 kids had a luxurious drive from School to Mahindra Head office in the Mahindra Cars =). The mentors at Mahindra & Mahindra taught the kids to draft emails, take print outs, capture pictures, upload them and use webcam. The kids were taught marketing and sales strategies. In the end kids had fun dancing on the tune of All is Well.

KHS Machinery, 10 July 2010 (Event courtsey: Jay Shah)
Behrampura 13 and Naranpura 1 kids started the KHS Trip with a wonderful bus ride. The Hirapur KHS Machinery plant amazed the kids with its gigantic machines and high ceilings. KHS Machinery and CII President, Mr. Yatindra Sharma motivated the kids by his insightful speech on Dreaming Big and working towards the goals fearlessly. The site visit provided knowledge on filling and packaging technology including fillers, mix processors,
washers and rinsers, labelers, pasteurizers, packers, palletizers, and conveyors to the kids.Lastly, Success stories shared by Top Managers at KHS had a very positive influence on the kids.

Havmor:21 July 2010
It was a super special day for kids of Ellisbridge 24. Ellisbridge 24 being all gurls school i was skeptical if the students might be ambitious. But to my surprize they were all so ambitious. A few wanted to become police, some teacher, a handful doctors and one wanted
to join Navy and our Havmor family left no stone unturned to motivate and encourage them.
The visit to Naroda Havmor plant visit was jawdrawing experience for all the students. None of the student , including me, ever thought while having ice cream that it takes so much of time, labour n energy to produce Ice cream =)

Vadilal:
The kids interacted with the employees, introduced themselves and told them about their performance in their exams with equal cheerfulness and all this in English(probably after english unstoppable campaign we could xpect this frome our kiddies). They then were taken to sales and production department where they were explained ice cream production procedure in detail and marketing department where the kids learnt about graphic designing and marketing strategies.
Chocolates, Vadilal wall calendars, Bags, mugs were distributed to the kids along with colorful pencils and erasers. The happiness on the kids’ face along with scoops of Ice Cream was worth noticing.

Troikaa:
The kids introduced themselves with enthusiasm and interacted with their mentors. Experience gaining site visit added to their knowledge. They had fun playing games with their mentors and by relishing ice cream.
Thanks to all their mentors =)they also celebrated 'childrens day'
Usually we celebrate this day only with friends but Troikka family added a new dimension to this celebration by bringing a smile on the faces of our young friends. It was unique because it was not just about celebrating but it was all about making difference in the lives of the kids.

HDFC Insurance:
The kids had fun playing games, sharing jokes and shayaris at HDFC Insurance cafeteria followed by snacks and frooti sipping session.
Kids were enlightened by the Knowledgeable session on Insurance and Banking facilities. The kids then had hands on training filling slip book and cheque with brief understanding about ATMs.A bunch of books and piggy bank when recieved as a gift brought a smile to the kids face.

Xcellon Institute:
The kids enjoyed the knowledgeable session by Dr. J.D.Patel laying stress on sanitation, hygiene and cancer. Followed by hands on training in computer labs and munchy snacks =)

PWC: (Event and note courtsey: Aditya Prabhu )
Behrampura School 17 on Saturday 21st August 2010 at 9 am. This event was
primarily scheduled to have an interaction of the corporates with the municipal school kids'parents to build up a bond of trust between them.
This event was also organized to get to know about the different challenges they faced in educating their children. The Children were more than happy to see the PWC and YUVA team and the joy of meeting the kids again was clearly seen in the smiles of the Dosti Unstoppable team. With dynamic people like Bhaskar, Vidya,Pranshu,Mohammad and Avdoot it didn’t take time for us to connect with the parents. Within a few moments the parents were comfortable and they put forth their problems. The PWC team lent ears to their problems and came out with different ways to tackle them. Once the mentoring session was over it was fun time again with the kids. With photo sessions, games and interaction the kids wished that the day never came to an end. As always there were joy on the faces of the children and the Dosti Unstoppable team which says it all that this was another successful event. The day came to an end with more photographs and fun and the entire team waiting to meet again.

Film Festival for kids, 30 May 2010:
Event for kids at GLS Auditorium was organized on 30 May 2010, Sunday, showcasing movies for three hours. RJ Dhwanit from Radio Mirchi and Mr. S.K. Langha, Deputy Municial Commisioner, North Zone Ahmedabad were present to support the cause. 300 Kids including Construction site workers kids from Foliage Real Estate Developers, slum kids of Gulbai Tekra, kids mentored by Motif Inc. Volunteers and Azure Volunteers and other yuva projects like Sparsh, Feed the Hungry and Sarjan enjoyed the movie followed by Snacks.

Foliage Real Estate Developers: (Event and note Coutsey, Shambhavi Singh):
The Foliage Team gave a warm welcome to the kids and readily gained a place in their heart. They personally introduced themselves to all the kids and soon became one of their kind happily playing, singing and dancing with them. They organized a screening of Tom & Jerry film, followed by a few games which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
Afterwards, hot samosas and chocolates were served to everyone. It was fulfilling seeing smiles on the kids face.
