Ashramshala kids at Gandhi Ashram CREATING THEIR OWN TOYS!

Today while observing the kids playing in mud and creating their own toys at Ashramshala in Gandhi Ashram, I wondered if manufactured toys ruined the creativity in kids.
Here at ashramshala the kids were happy - playing in mud, getting dirty, losing all inhibitions, trying to bring alive their fantasy world.
They were poking the clay, squeezing it, beating it down, twisting it and creating various shapes  The kids without any supervision were engaged in activity for a long time without boredom.

It was beautiful to observe each ones creation and hear the story behind it.
A kid explained he jazzed up the clay with green colour and made mangoes from it since he saw the mango tree bearing mangoes this season.

Other kid made a birthday cake.
